Virtual Consultations
Anywhere in Ireland

Speak to Dr Kazmi (Consultant Endocrinologist) or Dr Kalyar (Consultant Interventional Cardiologist) by video or phone, wherever you live in Ireland. Most weekday evenings, 16:00–19:00, Monday–Friday. Same fee as an in-person consultation at our Naas clinic.

You Don't Need to Live Near Naas

Our physical clinic is in Naas, Co. Kildare, open Saturdays & Sundays. Virtual consultations extend that same consultant-led care to patients anywhere in Ireland, without the journey — whether you're in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick or anywhere else in the country.

Virtual consultations are open to both new patients and existing patients following up. Self-referral and GP referral are both accepted, exactly as for an in-person appointment.

Same Fee as In-Person

  • Initial consultation: €230 (same as in-person)
  • Follow-up consultation: €150 (same as in-person)
  • Most weekday evenings, 16:00–19:00, Monday–Friday, subject to consultant availability
  • Booked the same way as in-person: call 089 656 7597 or email info@naascardioendocrineclinic.ie

Booking a Video or Phone Consultation

01

Get in Touch

Call or email us, the same as booking in-person. Let us know you'd prefer a video or phone consultation and your preferred evening.

02

Confirmation

We confirm your appointment time within one working day and send video call details ahead of the consultation.

03

Your Consultation

Your consultant takes a full history, reviews any results or referral letters, and discusses assessment and treatment options with you.

04

Follow-Up

A clinic letter is sent to your GP after your appointment. Where examination or tests are needed, these are arranged locally to you or at an in-person visit.

What a Virtual Consultation Can and Can't Do

Well suited to video or phone:

  • Diabetes and thyroid follow-up, including review of blood test results
  • Weight management and GLP-1 therapy (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro) follow-up
  • Hormone-related concerns and general endocrinology assessment
  • Cardiology follow-up — blood pressure review, symptom review, post-treatment check-ins
  • New patient assessment where a physical examination is not immediately required

Needs a physical visit or local test:

  • Physical examination — for example, chest, abdominal or thyroid examination
  • ECG, echocardiogram or other cardiac investigations
  • Blood tests — these can usually be arranged locally to you, with results reviewed at a follow-up video or in-person visit
  • Any presentation your consultant judges needs to be seen in person for safe assessment

Virtual Consultation Questions

Can I have an online consultation with an endocrinologist or cardiologist anywhere in Ireland?

Yes. Both Dr Kazmi (Consultant Endocrinologist, IMC 213626) and Dr Kalyar (Consultant Interventional Cardiologist, IMC 102093) offer video and phone consultations to patients anywhere in Ireland, most weekday evenings between 16:00 and 19:00, Monday to Friday. You do not need to live near Naas to book a virtual consultation.

How do I book a virtual consultation?

Call 089 656 7597 or email info@naascardioendocrineclinic.ie, the same as booking an in-person appointment. Let us know you'd like a video or phone consultation and your preferred evening. Video call details are sent ahead of your appointment.

Is a virtual consultation the same fee as an in-person visit?

Yes. Virtual consultations are charged at the same rate as in-person consultations: €230 for an initial consultation and €150 for a follow-up.

Is a video consultation as thorough as an in-person appointment?

A video or phone consultation allows a full clinical history, symptom review, results discussion and treatment planning, at the consultant's discretion. It cannot replace a physical examination, blood tests, ECG or imaging. Where these are needed, they can usually be arranged locally to you, with results reviewed at a follow-up video or in-person visit, or an in-person visit to our Naas clinic may be advised.

What can be assessed in a virtual consultation?

Common uses include diabetes and thyroid follow-up, review of blood test results, weight management and GLP-1 therapy follow-up, hormone-related concerns, and cardiology follow-up such as blood pressure review or post-treatment check-ins. New patient assessments are also seen virtually where a physical examination is not immediately required; your consultant will advise if an in-person visit is needed at any point.

Will my insurer cover a virtual consultation?

This clinic is self-pay. Depending on their policy, patients may be able to claim outpatient consultant benefits from their insurer for a virtual consultation, the same as for an in-person visit. Please confirm eligibility and reimbursement directly with your insurer before booking, as the clinic cannot guarantee reimbursement.

Do I need a GP referral for a virtual consultation?

No. Both self-referral and GP referral are accepted for virtual consultations, the same as for in-person appointments. GP referral letters can be sent securely via Healthmail.
