Dr Syed Kashif Hussain Kazmi — MRCPI, FRCP Glasgow, CCT in Diabetes and Endocrinology, IMC 213626, GMC 6117450 — conducts online diabetes consultations personally, with access to the established physical clinic in Naas whenever face-to-face assessment is clinically required.
A clinic letter is sent to your GP after your consultation, the same as after an in-person visit, and both self-referral and GP referral are accepted.

Send recent HbA1c and other bloods, and export your CGM or flash-glucose data (FreeStyle Libre, Dexcom) or your finger-prick log so patterns can be reviewed.

A letter goes to your GP with the plan. Any bloods, retinal screening or foot review are arranged locally, and an in-person visit is booked if needed.

Yes — this is one of the strongest uses of a video diabetes consultation. If you share your LibreView or Dexcom Clarity report (or add the clinic as a connected professional account where possible) before the appointment, Dr Kazmi can review your time-in-range, glucose variability, overnight patterns and hypoglycaemia frequency, and use that to adjust insulin or other medication precisely. Bringing two weeks of recent data makes the consultation far more productive than readings described from memory.
Yes, for most people. Insulin titration is based on glucose patterns, HbA1c, hypoglycaemia history, diet and activity — all of which can be reviewed in detail remotely. Dr Kazmi will set out specific dose changes and a plan for checking their effect, and communicate this to your GP. Where control is very unstable, where there is a history of severe hypoglycaemia with impaired awareness, or where a new insulin regimen is being started from scratch, an in-person review or closer follow-up may be advised.
Dr Kazmi identifies exactly which tests are needed for your diabetes and provides a request. In most cases these are done locally to you — through your GP practice, a hospital phlebotomy service, or a private lab — and the results are sent to the clinic and reviewed with you at a short follow-up by video, phone or in person. Where a test genuinely has to be done at a specific facility, that is explained before you proceed. You do not need to travel to Naas simply to have blood drawn.
Yes, where it is clinically appropriate. After the consultation Dr Kazmi sends a detailed letter to your GP setting out the diagnosis, the plan and any recommended change to insulin, metformin or GLP-1 therapy or other medication, so your GP can issue or adjust the prescription as part of shared care. Where a private prescription is more appropriate, the arrangements are discussed with you directly. Some changes are deliberately held until a blood test or an in-person review is done first.
Follow-up intervals are individual to your condition, how stable it is, and Dr Kazmi's clinical judgement — they are not fixed for every patient. Many people with diabetes settle into a pattern of one or two reviews a year once treatment is established, with extra reviews around any medication change or new symptom.
