What Can Be Reviewed Remotely
Who You'll See
Dr Syed Kashif Hussain Kazmi — MRCPI, FRCP Glasgow, CCT in Diabetes and Endocrinology, IMC 213626, GMC 6117450 — conducts online pituitary and adrenal consultations personally, with access to the established physical clinic in Naas whenever face-to-face assessment is clinically required.
A clinic letter is sent to your GP after your consultation, the same as after an in-person visit, and both self-referral and GP referral are accepted.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Follow-up for known pituitary conditions (such as prolactinoma or growth hormone disorders) and adrenal conditions (such as adrenal incidentaloma follow-up), including review of blood test and scan results, is well suited to video or phone consultation with Dr Kazmi.
Yes, in principle — imaging can usually be arranged locally to you, with results reviewed at a follow-up video, phone or in-person consultation. Exact arrangements depend on the scan and your location.
No — dynamic endocrine tests (such as stimulation or suppression tests) require attendance at a hospital or clinical facility. An online consultation can discuss whether such testing is needed and help coordinate the referral.
An initial discussion of an incidental finding, your symptoms and any existing results can take place online. Dr Kazmi will advise on further investigation and whether an in-person visit is needed.
Ongoing hormone replacement follow-up and dose review can be discussed during a video consultation, at your consultant's clinical discretion — the same standard applied in person. Initial diagnosis and safety-critical situations may require closer or in-person assessment.
