Consultant-Led Hormone Care

Dr Syed Kashif Hussain Kazmi — MRCPI, FRCP Glasgow, CCT in Diabetes and Endocrinology, IMC 213626, GMC 6117450 — conducts online male hormone consultations personally, with access to the established physical clinic in Naas whenever face-to-face assessment is clinically required.

A clinic letter is sent to your GP after your consultation, the same as after an in-person visit, and both self-referral and GP referral are accepted.

Online Male Hormone Questions

Can low testosterone be assessed by video consultation?

Yes. Symptom review and discussion of testosterone blood test results are well suited to video or phone consultation with Dr Kazmi. Diagnosis requires biochemical confirmation on repeat fasting morning blood samples, per current EAU guidance — these can usually be arranged locally to you.

Can testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) be started after an online consultation?

Where hypogonadism is confirmed through blood testing and clinical assessment, treatment planning can be discussed online, at your consultant's clinical discretion. Certain contraindications must be excluded first — see our in-depth guide on male hypogonadism for full detail.

Can TRT monitoring (PSA, haematocrit) be managed with online consultations?

Ongoing monitoring blood tests (PSA, haematocrit) can usually be arranged locally to you, with results discussed at a follow-up video, phone or in-person consultation.

Is an online consultation suitable for newly suspected low testosterone?

New patient assessment is possible online where a physical examination is not immediately required. Dr Kazmi will advise if an in-person visit or further testing is needed based on your history and symptoms.

Can fertility concerns related to testosterone be discussed online?

Yes — this should be raised early, since standard testosterone therapy is not appropriate for men currently trying to conceive. Alternatives can be discussed during your online consultation.
